To look beyond first impressions, avoiding quick assumptions or commonly programmed realizations will open up a whole world of new perspectives. Quickly writing off what occurs then moving on without analysis or fixing reactions for future similar occurrences has the potential to be controlled by reality rather than persistently driving personal desires into what occurs. There can be a wide gap between what actually occurred and what was perceived unless major events are carefully scrutinized.
